Now I'm going to begin blogging for the second time. First quarter my blog grade wasn't the best or what i expected to get but I had never done it before so it's all a learning experience. Recieving feedback will help me improve my blog for this quarter so I can do better than i did before and Im hoping to recieve a better grade. Aftrer recieving my blog grade I understand the mistakes I made and what my strong and weak points were. Some of my strong points were the links I used along with the descriptions I wrote and the two paragraphs I wrote for my classical music piece, they were very lengthy and described why i chose the piece I did. My weak points were my animoto and my picture blog. I made the same mistake for both of them. For the picture blog I created of more plot summaries instead of showing inportant symbols and settings. For the animoto I gave a summary instead of getting readers intrigued by my book.
I still really enjoy blogging and I personally want to continue with this project for the rest of the year. I will not let my first quarter grade let me get discouraged for this quarter. I'm still going to try my best and learn off of my mistakes from first quarter in order to improve this blog. So far I have really enjoyed reading my second book. Its called Willow and it has a really interesting story line. Its about a girl who killed her parents in a car accident and continuously thinks of herself as a murdered. She constantly feels pressure to make herself suffer through as much pain as everyone else. Right now im not very far in the book and but I know that she will eventually use love as a way to cope with he troubles. I really like how we are given a little more freedom for this quarter blog, I believe it will help me improve my grade with the allowance to take this blog into my own direction.
Dear Steven, I applaud your acceptance of your first quarter blog grade. I am oh so proud of you. You are correct it is all a learning experience! & we both know how long it takes both of us to learn... hahaha especially new cheers. Oops! off subject. My apologies. Is this comment weird? Are you still going to be my friend? You have to. But here's some constructive criticism, you haven't finished all your sentences.. might want to get on that man.. If it helps, I liked your blog from last quarter. (: But guess who got a 98%? ME :D Better step it up this quarter! I'll cheer you on. GO STEVEN! yes that is your name. (: bye.
ReplyDeleteStevie,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog! The points you made about it being a learning experience and the help that feedback offers is very true. I also agree that second quarter blogs will be better for controlling our grades because we can take them in our own direction. I feel we can also make them our own with all of our unique personalities we can put into them. It is very mature and honest of you to admit that you made mistakes that you are willing to accept since there were so many other people that had a little trouble doing so. I hope that you are willing to accept my critique in a positive manner as well, for it is only in hope that I help you improve. The only things I think you could probably work on would be to definitely keep your eye out on your grammatical errors, because there are quite a few of them and try to increase the length of the reflection as a whole. Maybe you could continue on with your opinion on the freedom we are given with our second quarter blog? The point of improving your grade was a great one, so maybe you could add a few more thoughts! I bet it would help give you that improved grade you want. Those two things are really the only major things I think you could improve, but if you were really up for it you could expand all of your ideas some more. Only if you want to, since it is your blog. Keep up the good work Stevie, I hope to read more from you. I also hope the criticism I offered you helps you out and doesn't insult you! Keep blogging(not that you have a choice).
